Raila Odinga's elder brother Oburu Odinga has been lauded online after his tweet about President William Ruto's visit to Siaya county.
Oburu, who is the county's senator under ODM ticket, made a surprise after availing himself to welcome Ruto to the county on Saturday.
He later went online to thank Ruto for his visit, saying they will work together with Ruto as Siaya county leaders to serve Kenyans. According to Oburu, Ruto is the president for all Kenyans and is always welcomed into Siaya and Nyanza region.
He went ahead to also recognise DP Rigathi Gachagua and other Kenya Kwanza leaders who visited the county
"We will work together in order to deliver to our people, Kenya is one and we are Kenyans. You are always welcome to Siaya County H.E William Ruto @WilliamsRuto , H.E Rigathi Gachagua @rigathi and leaders," he said
Many took to Oburu's tweet, thanking him for showing maturity as one of the ODM party leaders. Despite not showing up to welcome Ruto, ODM chief Raila Odinga was also applauded for showing statesmanship and allowing his ODM party leaders to work together with Ruto and his government for developments in Nyanza region
