It has all began after Khalwale accused Ojienda of pocketing millions of money yet he did not give any services to the sugar company. He even went on to accuse him of covering up the facts from being known to the public.
"One Dr Evans and professor Ojienda, they almost killed me in court because of Mumias sugar company. Mr speaker sir I know the rules of the debate. I would like to invite the honorable Senator to release the 280 million shillings that were deposited in his account for services that was not rendered and which he has been covering, hiding, gagging EACC," said Senator Boni Khalwale.
In retaliation, Ojienda dismissed Khalwale's accusations by stating that he was trying to be a rumor monger given that he had not verified what he spoke about him in the senate.
"It is good that Senator Khalwale is falling into the bracket of rumor mongers and individuals who speak to facts that they don't verify. It's very unfortunate Mr Khalwale may I remind you, he is referring to a report that was released in the public without an investigation," responded Senator Tom Ojienda.
