Machakos Governor has responded to mass exodus of leaders towards DP Ruto's hustlers movement camp. He was responding to Senator Cherangei request to join the hustler movement just like other leaders. In his response Mutua said it normal and quoted the Kibaki era in 2008 general election. He claimed that " Leaders are defecting to hustlers movement for personal gain and money." He was alleging so in an interview with Citizen TV online in Mombasa alongside Senator Cherangei, And Wamatangi in Studio.
This comes beary a day when Kiambu Women Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba alongside other leaders made a serious move to leave Jubilee Party and join DP Ruto's Camp. Senator Cherangei continued to assure kenyans to expect more leader in UDA as it is the party that has care for the needs of low class people and rubbished claims that money was involved
On other Afred Senators Wamatangi asked Dr Alfred Mutua to work for the interest of the people of Kenya when he becomes the president and outline clearly what the party does to those who fail to stick to the agreement of the party that sponsored them in parliament. Mutua on other hand warned Cherangei that Kenyan are tired and will punish such leaders comes 2022 general election
