Meru County elections seems to have stabilized as that current governor Kiraitu Murungi branded his campaign vehicles with Azimio la Umoja, Raila Odinga's photos. In the campaign vehicles of Kiraitu Murungi is himself and his Deputy Governor, Titus Ntuchiu. Pictured on the other side is Raila Odinga and Martha Karua.

Kiraitu Murungi has been so silent in telling residents of the way forward in the presidential elections. This move by Kiraitu confirms that he is fully into Azimio la Umoja and is supporting Raila Odinga's presidential bid in August 9th general elections.

Kiraitu Murungi, the governor for Meru County is competing with Mithika Linturi of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the Meru County gubernatorial election. Kawira Mwangaza is also another aspirant in the Meru County Governor race who is giving the two aspirants sleepless nights as they have to go and extra mile in proclaiming the Meru County Governor position.
