The United Democratic Alliance, a party associated with the deputy president William Ruto has listed around 31 officials who will be managing its activities towards ensuring that William Ruto succeeds president Uhuru Kenyatta after the 2022 polls.
The newly appointed team will be led former Machakos county senator Johnson Muthama as the chairman of the party, deputised by Kenya National Union of Nurses Secretary General, Seth Panyako.
Eliud Owalo, one of the deputy president's lieutenants from the Luo Nyanza region could also not hide his happiness after being appointed the National Secretary General, which will be responsible for strategy and policy.
Owalo took to his social media platforms to celebrate this greatel responsibly and thanked the United Democratic Alliance for having trust on him.
"I am grateful to the United Democratic Alliance party for granting me the opportunity to serve as the National Deputy Secretary General responsible for the functional mandate of strategy and policy," Owalo posted.
Eliud Owalo who is also a former Kibra parliamentary aspirant is one of the top Luo Nyanza leaders who have been making efforts to ensure the deputy president William Ruto gains a lot of influence in the region which is regarded as the stronghold of the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
