Kenyans are now expecting to know who will be Kenya's next president of Kenya,in an announcement to be made by IEBC this afternoon.
And now Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance deputy presidential candidate Martha Karua has broken silence.
Karua took to her Twitter account and said that all is ready for Bomas.
Tuesday's presidential election results are anticipated to be announced by Wafula Chebukati, the returning officer and chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). The Bomas of Kenya and other significant landmarks in Nairobi and across the nation received extra protection before the massive event.
As of Monday morning, the Commission has received confirmation of and forwarded results from 263 of 291 districts. Commission insiders claim that Chebukati could publish the results on Monday if the results verification process is completed on schedule.
This choice would heavily depend on the availability of time, as Chebukati has reportedly stated, "I will only reveal the findings during the day, never at night."
The 2017 Supreme Court decision that the validation process must be finished before the official announcement caused Kenya to experience its longest election postponement ever.
