Nzioka Waita In Trouble Over 'Nitawakatakata' Statement

Leaders in Machakos have come guns blazing following Gubernatorial candidate Nzioka Waita's statement.

Nzioka and who is seeking to succeed Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua who has served the county for two terms earlier in a statement warned political leaders against attacking him when campaigning.

In the statement, Waita narrated that since his competitors have not headed to his warning, he is now ready to hit them and throw them out of Machakos.

"Lakini nilikuambia, wakiamua yakwamba watanisumbua kila siku, Mimi nitaanza kuwapanga, nitaanza kuwakatakata na nitaanza kuwatoa hii Machakos, na hio safari imeanza. (But I told them if they continue giving me headache everyday, I will start dealing with them, I will start cutting them and take them out of this Machakos,"Nzioka Waita narrated.

Leaders have now called on National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and IEBC to investigate Nzioka over the statement and take the preferred action against the candidate.

Machakos Wiper's Gubernatorial Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has narrated that it is worrying for politicians seeking office making such statement during the ongoing campaigns.

Mwangangi has maintained that Nzioka's statement is against the International law calling on the DCI, The Director of Criminal Investigations and the NCIC to investigate Nzioka over the statement.

"It is so worrying to make such statement, I want to remind Waita that the statement he made is against the Kenyan law and against the International law, one of the four crimes that can be prosecuted at the International Criminal Court, IEBC should investigate these statements and take action," Mwangangi narrated.

Mwangangi has also advised Nzioka to seek for votes with peace and preach peace during his campaigns.

"Politics is not a matter of life and death, Nzioka should not take this campaigns to his heart, it's not a must that you should be elected, just tell people what you will do for them and stop the threats," Mwangangi added.
