His Excellency the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua returned to Kenya on Saturday morning following a two-day state visit to Luanda, Angola.
He posted pictures of themselves at the airport, shortly before they boarded their flight, with Her Excellency the second lady, Mama Dorcas Gachagua.
The visiting Deputy President was greeted with a major military parade at the airport, and prominent figures escorted him.
His Excellencies Clement Kiteme, the Kenyan ambassador to Angola, and Mr. Andrew Mujivane, the ambassador's deputy, were among those who escorted him.
Kenya's ambassador to Belgium In addition to others, His Excellency Prof. Bitange Ndemo and Mr. Paulo Laureano, Director of State Protocol for Angola, were present.
Earlier, the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) presidency was formally turned over to Angola by vice president Rigathi Gachagua.
Gachagua, speaking on behalf of President William Ruto, officially turned over the reins to President Joo Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço of Angola at the start of the 10th OACPS Summit in Luanda.
