Sifuna: If Ruto Has Respect For The Constitution Then Let Him Leave Azimio Take The Majority Seat

The national assembly speaker Moses Wetangula is currently faced with the hard task of deciding who are the majority in the national assembly. Both Azimio coalition and Kenya Kwanza claims that they have met the constitutional threshold of being the majority. But today Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna defended how Azimio has met the constitutional threshold to that position.

In his interview with Citizen television this morning, Sifuna urged the president that just as he had initially promised that his leadership will be within the borders of the constitution, then let him leave Azimio take the majority seat in national assembly. "I somehow believe that our nation's president William Ruto is a man of his words. And this also should be seen in acceptance that Azimio has taken the lead of being majority in the parliament. Though he made a suspicious visit to the parliament but let me hope that he wasn't after violating the constitution." Said Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna.
