Raila Odinga, Azimio presidential candidate, addressed the nation today following the results of 9th August general 2022 rejecting the results there was no valid winner therefore no president-elect.
Raila said that IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati was not transparent and that the act of announcing the presidential-elect was a travesty conduct.
"What we saw yesterday was a travesty and a blatant disregard of the constitution and the laws of Kenya by Mr. Chebukati and a minority of IEBC commissioners. Raila said.
"Unless unanimous decision is reached, a decision on any matter before the commission shall be by majority of members present at voting." Raila said.
"I and Azimio la Umoja and the nation at large were shocked yesterday, to learn that Mr. Chebukati alone decided to pronounce himself on the supposed winner of 2022 presidential elections.
Raila said that they reject the results and urged their supporters to remain calm and maintain peace. He finished saying that the results were null and void.
"The figures announced by Wafula Chebukati are null and void." Raila said.
