Uasin Gishu Politicians Pull Apart As Succession Politics Takes The Centre Stage

Close to a year and half to the 2022 general elections, politicians from Uasin Gishu which is the home vounty of the deputy president William has hit on the ground running fot the county boss seat. This county has proofed to be one of the those counties which will be highly contested for gubernatorial position after the current governor Jackson Mandago exits office in 2022. There are several politicians who have expressed their interest in the seat including the Soy member of Parliament Hon. Caleb Kositany.

There are those politicians who are saying that those aspiring to sit as governor from next year must support the deputy president William Ruto's 2022 statehouse bid. The Kapseret Member of Parliament Hon. Oscar Sidi dismissed the tribal claims saying that Uasin Gishu is a cosmopolitan county and the issue if tribe is neither here nor there. Je added that the only thing that is needed from anyone looking forward to be the governor has to support William Ruto.

This message was seen as being directed to the former greatest competitor to the current governor Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop alias BUZEKI. It is rumored that the politician and business man has been attending high profiled political meetings in the county. The Soy MP also has been said to start online campaigns by most of his aides fot the same purpose. Others who are said to be in the race is Amb. Bitok and several others who have not come out openly to declare their interests.
