
Both Kirinyaga County incumbent Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru and Kirinyaga County Woman Representative Hon Wangui Ngirici are in the Kirinyaga County gubernatorial race in the fourth coming general elections to be held in August this year. The two political friends cum enemies will be competing facing off in the fourth coming general elections. While incumbent Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru will be vying on the United Democratic Alliance party of Kenya ticket, Hon Wangui Ngirici will be vying on an independent ticket.
Kirinyaga County Woman Representative Hon Wangui Ngirici has beat incumbent Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru hands down in the latest opinion polls. According to Mizani Africa, Hon Purity Wangui Ngirici has emerged to be the most popular candidate in Kirinyaga County gubernatorial race. She is leading with 41.3% followed by incumbent Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru who has 39.2%. This is a clear indication that governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru has a hard time if she has to retain her seat.
