The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) brigade stormed Kibera grounds bringing Kibera to a standstill as thousands of youths showed up to listen to their leaders. Despite Raila's absence Kibera residents showed up in large numbers to attend the rally. The ODM leader was expected to attend the rally but missed and instead sent his greatings to Kibera residents. Details to why Raila missed the rally are yet to emerge.
The rally was led by George Aladwa and other leaders allied to Raila Odinga. The leaders campaigned for the building bridges initiative urging Kibera residents to support BBI since they will benefit a lot from the Bill. Being Ruto's great rivals the rally could not end without the brigade taking a swipe at Ruto and his hustler narrative.
Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino took on Ruto claiming he is deceiving poor Kenyans for his 2022 political interests. Raila's lieutenants warned those daring to surbotage the handshake claiming that any plans to shortchange Raila will be rejected. The brigade toured Kamukunji grounds which is Raila's strong hold in Kibera.
