Justice Martha Koome was yesterday sworn in as the Chief Justice, making her the head of The Supreme Court. Several questions have been raised by Ruto's allies concerning how fast the state house approved her nomination and President Uhuru's hurry to swear her into office amid the BBI stand-off. Are there plans to present BBI to the Supreme Court? Soy MP Caleb Kositany, while speaking to residents, made their position on the BBI appeal clear; he issued an urgent directive to the new Chief Justice. ''It is unconstitutional, and expect nothing to change. They are now looking at the Court of Appeal because time is running out. They intend to hurry and add these seats before August. Beyond August will be too late for them,'' the MP said.
''We want to tell Martha Koome, before you embark on the bench before you do anything else, make sure that the other 41 judges are sworn in,'' he added.
''What is the hurry with this document? Kenyans have been praying, and their prayers have already been answered. It is God that is dealing with these BBI propagators,'' he went on. The Soy Member of Parliament joins Elegeyo Marakwet Senator Murkomen and others who had shared similar remarks.
