Deputy President William Ruto has today again stormed one of highly perceived Raila's major political base, Mombasa County.
In his series of campaigns in efforts to win the massive support of the people from the region, the DP has been much vocal on the issue of port which seems to be working for him in his rallies.
He has today assured the county residents while in Likoni that he will ensure that the port gets back to Mombasa County in his government to create more jobs there.
However, in his today's rally, some of the popular names and highly vocal politicians who have been popularizing his bid in the region, the likes of Aisha Jumwa of Malindi, have not been seen in his company.
Even the Kilifi County Governor whom he has been campaigning with his since he started his Coast Region campaigns this week have not been seen in the list of leaders he has just mentioned.
Instead, he has only recognized the presence of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua, Kwale County Governor Mvurya, Mombasa County gubernatorial aspirant Hassan Omar and Fatuma Achani.
Other vocal allies like Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, Khatib Mwashetani of Lunga Lunga, Benjamin Tayari of Kinango and Senator Kithure Kindiki of Tharaka Nithi County were also present.
His fellow Kenya Kwanza principals, that is Mudavadi and Wetangula were spreading the bottom up message to the people of Western Region while his running mate Rigathi Gachagua was engaging the people of Baringo County.
