Breaking: CJ Martha Koome Forced to Skip a Top Event After What Raila's Azimio Allies Threatened

Chief Justice Martha Koome has been forced to skip the induction of the Members of Parliament on Monday afternoon.

This is after the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Amollo Odinga's allies threatened to walk out of she made her way to the event.

According to sources who disclosed the news to the Star newspaper, the Chief Justice was advised to skip the event to avoid the public shame that would have followed it.

Koome was to address the 13th Parliament on the interlinkages and inter-dependence between Parliament and the Judiciary.

She was however represented by the Court of Appeal President Daniel Musinga with the Chief Justice keeping away from the top enemy.

Speaking during the session, Deputy Speaker Gladys Shollei announced that Court of Appeal President Daniel Musinga would deliver the statement in place of CJ Koome.

"Allow me to present his lordship Justice Daniel Musinga who is representing the Chief Justice. His topic will be on interlinkages and interdependence between parliament and the judiciary," Shollei remarked.
