The ODM leader Rt. Hon Raila Odinga and his running mate Mama Martha Karua have been enjoying extensive media coverage by the mainstream media compared to their rivals in the Kenya Kwanza team DP William Ruto. This big airplay to Raila's camp has elicited mixed reactions with Tangatanga allies protesting against the media houses citing bias. However, Ruto's camp has also been on the spot for chasing away TV presenters during their meeting in Nakuru a few days ago.
Baba and Karua's interview on top TV stations has been highly ranked with many Kenyans looking forward to the event. Some political analysts argue that Raila's bold move to appoint the Nark Kenya leader Mama Martha Karua as his running mate is a stimulate that made various journalists rush to interview the first female to be appointed to that high task.
A photo of the well-organized and furnished venue for Raila-Karua interview has surfaced online eliciting mixed reactions. 6 seats for journalists were spotted as an indication of representation from various media houses. Two seats were reserved for Raila and Karua and an Azimio logo was spotted on the wall. Here are some comments from Kenyans below:
