Senator Isaac Mwaura Explains Why Kindiki Skipped Kenya Kwanza Announcement of Ruto's Running Mate

The absence of the Tharaka Nithi senator professor Kithure Kindiki on Saturday Sunday 15th during the unveiling of the deputy president William Ruto's running has continued to elicit mixed reactions.

A number of people believed that he was not comfortable with Mathira constituency member of parliament Hon. Rigathi Gachagua being picked to deputise William Ruto in the August presidential contest.

Speaking to KTN News on Monday 16th May, the vocal nominated senator Isaac Mwaura who is also a close ally of the deputy president explained that Kithure Kindiki skipped the event in good faith and has nothing to do with Rigathi Gachagua.

He further went ahead to explain that on Saturday 14th, there was a very long discussion at the deputy president William Ruto's official residence and people left the place very late and tired as well.

He also said that the senator has a very unique nature adding that even when the motion to oust him as the deputy speaker was tabled in parliament, he was absent.

"I can tell you, we left very late on Saturday. I have been with Kithure Kindiki and even when we were having a motion to impeach him as the deputy speaker he was not in the floor of the house, that is his nature," Mwaura said.
