Irung'u Kangata's List of 5 Communities 'Sidelined' By BBI Spark Reaction Online

Muranga Senator Irung'u Kangata finds himself in a centre of criticism from Kenyans as he poured his heart out as to why he opposes the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Sharing his argument via his Twitter handle, the former Senate Majority Chief Whip listed BBI Constituencies like Muranga, Nyeri, Nyandarua and Nithi as being segregated by the document despite their large population.

"Muranga voters -590,775 -1 Constituency, Nyeri voters -460,806-0 Constituency, Nyandarua voters 336,322-0, Nithi voters 216,522-0," he elaborated.

In comparison, the senator gave an example of other regions that have benefited from the initiative despite their low population.

According to Kanata, there is no fairness during the formulation of the document. The counties said to benefit include, Machakos 627,168-3 Constituencies, Kwale 282,436-2 and Kilifi 510,484-4," he complained.

However, Kenyans were not happy with the De-Whipped Majority Chief Whip for his "unwise" remarks that he made on the social media corridors. here are some of the reactions from concerned netizens who thought the senator was totally out of point.
