Credible elections in Kenya have been the focus of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. The commission has done a good job ensuring that elections are fair and that their system is secure from hacking.
The commission system allegedly has been the target of attempted hacking.
Insiders said 200 hacking attempts were made between Thursday evening and Friday am.
The star reports that an operative for one of the main parties once tried to breach the system from within Bomas. Unfortunately, his laptop was discovered, and the attempt was foiled.
The commission's chief executive officer, Hussein Marjan, assured the public on Friday that the results data will be kept secure.
"The entire nation can rest well knowing our systems are safe. If you are unsure how to scale the security systems, please contact us "said Marjan.
It was in response to reports that some sought to hack the system and install an algorithm to influence results that the leader made his response.
