The opposition national super alliance (NASA) appears to be headed towards extinction following moves by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Wiper Democratic Movement, ANC party and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to withdraw from the once vibrant political formation.
This has been interpreted as a blow to former prime minister Raila Odinga who was largely expected to enlist NASA's support in 2022. However, the former prime minister has come out to speak about the new alliance in town while also revealing what will happen next week.
As TV47 reports, Raila Odinga has revealed that Nyanza region leaders will meet early next week to deliberate on the fate of the ODM party as far the 2022 politics is concerned after the Party's notice to withdraw from NASA.
He says that on Saturday next week, the Western Kenya region will follow suit to Nyanza with 100 delegates from all the 5 western Kenya counties meeting in Kakamega to chart a way forward.
He strongly hinted that ODM party may well be heading into the One Kenya Alliance after the death of NASA even as he clarified that he still looks forward to working with the One Kenya Alliance leaders after NASA's mandate expired.
