Professor Herman Manyora, a political expert, claims that since Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been presenting himself as President William Ruto's assistant ever since they took office on January 13th, many Kenyans have developed a soft place for him.
Manyora dispelled rumors that the relationship between Ruto and Gachagua might become toxic like that between Ruto and his former boss Uhuru Kenyatta in a video posted to his You Tube channel on Wednesday. He claimed that the two knew what was required and couldn't take that path.
He describes the relationship between Ruto and Gachagua as genuine, stating that Ruto has established himself as a capable leader to his allies and a man who understands people and can solve any problem that might arise between him and his Deputy.
Gachagua has gained popularity on social media sites over his remarks after he became the DP.
