After many months of campaigns, the most awaited day is finally here. Kenya will finally get their fifth president. As things stand, it might be won by either Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance or William Ruto of UDA under Kenya Kwanza. Others in the race are George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party and Waihiga Mwaure of the Agano Party.
As Kenyans undertake the voting process, Raila has given Kenyans his final message. He is confident that he will win this presidential seat by beating Ruto. However, he says he will accept results as they come. Further, he has urged Kenyans to keep peace.
Below is Raila's final message as he shared via his official Facebook page.
"We have travelled a long journey during this year and today it is my turn to say thank you to all of you. Firstly, I would like to thank my family for bearing with me and my entire team for all the hard work and sleepless nights they have put in. Most importantly to the people of Kenya. Thank you for maintaining peace and order and performing civic duty of citizenship in harmony.
"As we head to the polls, I wish you all well and I pray for abundant blessings for you and your families. Democracy can sometimes be slow, but exercising your vote is your democratic right. No one man or woman can change Kenya as we all must participate to make it work and to make this country the best it can be." Wrote Raila Odinga.
