MP Ngunjiri Wambugu admitted that the people of the mountain have re-united again after the end of politics. This incident happened after Kanini Kega alleges that the Azimio leaders abandoned him during the nomination of MPs to the EALA parliament. Kanini Kega alleges that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua played an important role in uniting the people of the mountain and he recognized him as the new kingpin.
However, Ngunjiri Wambugu alleges that only 13% of the people who were against UDA are now heading to Gachagua's side. He alleges that the leaders of mt Kenya region prioritize the right of the people.
"THE MOUNTAIN RE-UNITES. Even those of us who represent the 13% who ‘refused’ a few months ago are united with the 87% who went yellow, when it comes to articulating & promoting the interests of our region. And we will do it unapologetically. MapemaNdioBest," Ngunjiri Wambugu wrote on his Facebook page.
