Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi is back in the country after silently leaving the country to Abroad.
The former interior CS is back afew hours after DP Rigathi Gachagua challenged him Secretary, to return to the country and honour the summons by the DCI. Gachagua opines that Matiang'i is a coward having left the country for the United Kingdom.
He claims that the former CS flew to escape the summons as he did not want to answer to the police over an alleged raid on his Karen home on February 8.
Gachagua advises him to obey the summons like most of Kenya Kwanza leaders who were reportedly persecuted by Uhuru's regime.
On the other hand, he maintains that the Kenya Kwanza administration will not use the police to target those who were opposed to them before and during the 2022 General Election.
Matiang'i landed at the Jomo kenyatta International Airport at 10 pm Saturday night, he aboarded KLM Flight 0566.
The former CS is supposed to present himself to the DCI headline on Monday.
