Atwoli Breaks Silence On Claims He Has Fled The Country in a Photo Where he is At Airport

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has broken silence after claims emerged he has left the country as presidential elections tallying continues.

Taking to his Twitter account, Atwoli said that the photo which had been captioned holding a traveling bag,was taken in Malaysia five years ago.

"Somebody using my old photo while arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, five years ago," Atwoli said.

Meanwhile Chebukati has also accused party agents at the Bomas of Kenya tallying centre of delaying the forms 34A and 34b verification process.

Since at least 130 returning cops are waiting to be cleared from the tallying center, he has now threatened to remove them from the facility if they continue to obstruct the process.

He desires that the party agents adhere to their responsibilities.

Chebukati also desires that the clerks who receive the forms from the election officials expedite the process. He has allowed the receptionists at least fifteen minutes.

Before announcing the final result, IEBC will also verify diaspora votes.

Returning officials from various regions of the country are still coming into the country's primary tallying headquarters at the Bomas of Kenya as the electoral body rushes to fulfill the deadline for announcing the presidential election result.

This is the third day that Kenyans have been waiting for the release of the election results, which are required by law to be made within seven days.
