Chebukati had earlier promised Kenyans that the results will be free and far and so far no major issue has been faced so far. Kenyans have been urged to remain peaceful after the President elect has been announced.

IEBC has however announced results of other seats. Some candidates have accepted the results and conceded defeat, however, some top politicians who were vying for gubernatorial seats have vowed to challenge their opponent win in the court of law.

Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Francis Kimemia, Evans Kidero, Patrick Kimani, James Nyoro, Sakwa Bunyasi have all rejected results of their counties citing high cases of irregularities and have vowed to challenge winners in the court of law.
