Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko was born on May 20, 1922, in the village of Omulako Omukhandia which is located in the county of Bungoma. Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko's mental and physical strength is astounding for many of his agemates. However, he remembers several events from his political life, even though his memory often fails him.

Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko is the only one surviving among members of Kenya's first cabinet; all of his colleagues, who includes the third president, Hon Mwai Kibaki, with whom he served together under the reign of President Moi, have passed away.

Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko served as Minister for Works and Organizing Secretary of Kanu, which was the single political party in the country during the height of his career in the second half of the year of 1970s.

Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko was the longest-serving cabinet secretary who clocked into politics at an impressive age of 18 years. During the historic Little General Election of 1967, Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko faced no opposition and therefore served until 1984 when he retired. This is among the Funny stories that attribute to historical occasions both on the local and national levels.

Munoko first entered politics by getting the parliamentary seat of Bungoma Central in the Kenyan Parliament. After that, the late president Jomo Kenyatta assigned him to work in the local government and as the minister of work was an assistant minister.

Munoko worked as the former organizing secretary and executive for the KANU government, and president Moi seems to have faith in him at the age of 18 years. Munoko not only did he work on several other boards dedicated to economic growth but also served on the Lake Basin Development Authority.

Bukusu Nathan Waliaula Munoko has been enjoying a fruitful and peaceful retirement from active politics and a healthy centennial in his home in Western.
