Kikuyu Council of Elders Raise Concerns on DP Ruto’s Thirst for Power; Warns MT Kenya Region

Deputy President William Ruto’s desire for power has left the Kikuyu Council of Elders concerned over Ruto’s recent behavior. The elders described Ruto’s thirst for power as too ambitious and dangerous.

Speaking on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at their office led by the chairman Wachira wa Kiago, the elders expressed their disappointment with DP Ruto’s recent actions and utterances.

Chairman Kiago and Gaithuma leader of Kiama Kiama criticized Ruto’s recent attacks on President Uhuru and his mother Ngina Kenyatta. According to the Elders, Ruto’s words were an incitement to the people of MT Kenya region.

“The deputy president has shown his real identity and he should stop inciting the people of Mount Kenya region during his campaign rallies,” Wachira said.

The elders further warned Ruto and his brigade to halt from attacking the first family or risk being cursed by the Kikuyu community. They also urged MT Kenya region to be keen on the kind of leaders they are set to vote in come August 9th.
