Today in the morning, reports emerged that Ruto and his goverment has written a letter to USA and European countries seeking them to impose sanctions on Azimio leader hon Raila Odinga. According to reports, these sanctions includes the travel sanctions where Odinga will not be able to travel abroad if approved.
Now, some few minutes ago, Azimio through their spokesperson mr Makau Mutua came out to issue a statement. As seen on his twitter page, the Azimio spokesperson said that he is not shocked by this move by the government. He said that Ruto now wants the Western countries to kill the democracy in Kenya. He said that this is against the 2010 constitution.
"NOT shocked by UDA’s call to US/EU to ban @RailaOdinga from traveling there. Very good, boys and girls! After stealing the election, you want West to help you kill what remains of democracy, basic human rights, and the 2010 constitution, which you opposed and never understood." Said Proffesor Makau Mutua.
