The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance maintains its efforts to create the next government ahead of the August national elections.
Raila Odinga, on the other hand, is attempting to defend his presidential bid under the Azimio by enlisting more supporters to help him achieve his goal of becoming Kenya's fifth president.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Jubilee, the Democratic Action Party of Kenya, Martha Karua's Narc, Gideon Moi's KANU, and other political leaders and parties may be included in the Azimio la Umoja.
In order to win the August competition, they are pushing the Azimio agenda.
On the other hand, Consequently, the Azimio Coalition secretary-general Junet Mohammed has announced that there will be no zoning of the country among 26 Azimio One Kenya Alliance affiliated parties ahead of the upcoming general elections. The Kenya Kwanza Alliance event slated on Thursday, May 26 in Busia County will not take place. This comes after Deputy President William Ruto stopped it in order to avoid a fight with Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.
Raila was also slated to host a rally in neighboring Amukura, while DP Ruto was supposed to be in Simba Chai, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Vice-Treasurer Mary Emase verified the incident to the press on Wednesday, May 25.
"We are unable to hold that gathering because they wish to interfere with our programs, which constitutes a disruption. They were fully aware that our rally would be held in Simba Chai, so they decided to hold theirs in nearby Amukura." she stated as quoted by a local media.
