Jubilee Party secretary-general Jeremiah Kioni has for weeks now maintained that contrary to Wafula Chebukati's August 15 declaration that billed William Ruto the winner of 2022 Statehouse race, it is Raila Odinga who won the duel.
Mr Kioni has time and again cited statistics from the exit poll that showed Raila beating Ruto hands down by managing 8.1 million votes with the man from Sugoi parting with a meagre 5.9 million votes. The Supreme court of Kenya has since summoned the former law maker to justify his claims. Commenting about Kioni matter, Rarieda Member of Parliament (MP) threatened to lead other legal practioneers within Azimio to explain how Raila won poll and how his victory was swapped to favour Samoei.
Immediately Ruto was declared president-elect, Raila rejected the results and he later on challenged the outcome at Supreme Court. Through his lawyers, the veteran argued that IEBC gave access to foreigners who manipulated data to suit his adversary. After weeks of examination and cross-examination of Raila's evidence, the chief justice and her counterparts found no fault in Ruto's victory, they upheld his win but Jakom disagreed with their ruling.
