Kenya | Pulselive Kenya"/>The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party presidential candidate Hon Raila Dinga's spokesperson professor Makau Mutua has stepped down from his current post at the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC).
This ia according to an official statement seen form the KHRC Board of Directors on 30th June.
Mr Davinder Lamba has already been appointed by the same board to serve in the position on an interim basis.
It is communicated that profeesor Mutua reached the decision so as to fully focus on political campaigns for Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party.
''The KHRC is delighted to announce the appointment of Davinder Lamba as interim chair of the Board... Professor Makau Mutua has stepped aside from the role of Chair of the Board to concentrate on the Azimio election campaign,'' the statement read partly.
Mutua has been an intergral part and fulcrum to Azimio critical decisons as official communications of the secretariat to the press and to the public.
He is hitherto serving in Azimio since his appointment by Hon Raila Odinga in March this year.
