Mulu Mutisya's Speech That Left Former President Moi in Stitches

Mulu Mutisya had been one of the celebrated politicians from the Ukambani area. He had been among few legislators from the region who were respected and won the former president Moi's heart.

However, it happened that one day President Moi toured Ukambani, Mulu moved the crowd on stage with his stunning broken Swahili speech.

As a routine, Mulu honoured the president and assured that he had been comfortable and felt at home.

In his length speech that had been shared on social media, Mutisya seemed to be struggling in submitting his written speech to the retired president.

The legislator said: "Baba, wanadai Kenyatta ni hayati kumbe wewe ni hayati kabisa. Nasema asante sana baba wa taifa hili kwa maana uliahidi Kunya hapa ukaharisha, ukahaidi kuja hapa tena ukaharisha tena. Lakini leo baba vile umekunya, nikaona nikuambie matako ya hawa wamama wote ni maji maji tupuuu...”

The speech had been drafted funnily as the term used couldn’t match the real interpretation.

This triggered a mixed reactions online and up to now it’s one of the speeches many will never forget.
