On Monday, January 21, National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi has presided over the opening of the Kenya Medical College in Elbergon, Molo contituency where he was hosted by area member of parliament Kimani Kuria.
The speaker thereafter distributed tree seedlings at Orthordox primary school, Molo. This initiative is part of the National Assembly CSR program in partnership with the church of Jesus Christ of Laffer Day Saints. Muturi addressed the residents afterwards and insteaded that he will be vying for the presidential bid in August 9 elections.
" I will be vying for the presidency on a Democratic Party ticket and I'm serious about it" Muturi said.
Speaker Muturi champions his 2022 presidential bid, calls on political parties to embrace coalition agreements. On Thursday, January 20, Muturi urged leaders from different parts of kenya to stop looking down upon Mt. Kenya leaders. He said that the region is capable of producing a presidential candidate and not just a running mate.
Muturi officially launched his presidential bid on Saturday, July 3, 2021 in a meeting attended by clergy drawn from the pentecostal churches in Embu county.
