President Ruto Remarks About Opposition While In Eldoret

On December 25, President William Ruto attended Christmas prayers in Eldoret, where he was accompanied by First Lady Rachael Ruto, UDA governors, lawmakers, and other leaders.

Speaking on citizen TV Kenya, President William Ruto praised leaders of the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition Raila Odinga, Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, and others for the excellent work they are doing to ensure the Kenya Kwanza government is kept in check.

Ruto also criticized former president Uhuru Kenyatta's choice to reunite with former prime minister Raila Odinga, claiming that their handshake government disrupted everything and is now showing its effects.

" Nina furaha na ndugu zetu wa upinzani wanang'ang'ana na mambo ya upinzani kwa kukosoa serikali kwa kufanya kazi kwa niaba ya wanainchi", he said.

" Kuunganisha upinzani na serikali ilileta shida ya njaa na mashida tunayoona. So ni mzuri sana kuwa na watu wa kupiga makelele pande ingine", he added.

Asserting that his government would continue providing services to Kenyans, UDA principal further urged Raila Odinga's political team to continue their oversight function.

A day after receiving criticism from Azimio la Umoja leaders led by Raila Odinga, who vowed to reveal his next political move in 2019, he made these comments.
