Speaking at Embu County where Kanini Kega had gone to inspect the venue where the meeting will be taking place. The Kieni MP has disclosed that they are preparing for a mega Mt Kenya meeting and which shall happen next week.
Kanini Kega has informed that the meeting shall not restrict any leader from Mt Kenya region from attending explaining that when they had an earlier meeting with President Uhuru, the meeting which they are planning was among the agenda.
The Pro-Uhuru MP has said that President Uhuru informed them that there is a need of uniting as a region extending that the Head of State advised them to bring together all leaders from Mt Kenya regardless of their affiliation, sit together and speak in one voice on the political way forward.
"What can we do so that we can unify the Mt Kenya region so that we can speak in one voice come the year 2022? When we recently met with President Uhuru as the Jubilee Leaders from Mt Kenya region. He told us that we should accept to open doors of conversation with other leaders from different parties because that is the beginning of friendship, peace, and unity," Kanini Kega has said.
"During the Statehouse meeting, we also agreed of bringing together all leaders from Mt Kenya regardless of their affiliation. We are happy that Embu Governor Martin Wambora has agreed to host us here at Izaak Walton Hotel, Embu, a meeting that is expected next week," the Kieni MP added.
"The agenda of the meeting will be to discuss the Mt Kenya politics going forward and what we should do as a community," he said.
