The attention of Kenyans across the country are currently on the ongoing Juja Constituency by-election with the top two candidates battling each other to emerge the winner. The two aspirants are Susan Waititu who is vying under the Jubilee Party ticket and George Koimburi under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket.
UDA party is viewed as the 'prodigal son' or rogue party which ran away from home, the ruling Jubilee Party. It has been accused severally of trying to sabotage the government headed by Jubilee chairman President Uhuru Kenyatta and allegedly his handshake brother the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga. However, the prodigal son seems to be doing well away from its mainstream body, Jubilee Party.
The Juja elections have been characterized by a lot of controversies with both political divides accusing each other of rigging elections. The counting of the votes had to be halted last night after Kiambu Governor James Nyoro stormed the tallying centre with his men on allegations of electoral frauds in favor of George. UDA backed candidate was leading at the time the vote counting was stopped.

The chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had to make an appearance at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology which is the tallying station of the election results.
Amidst rising tensions and accusations of election irregularities, Wafula Chebukati assured Kenyans that there will be no rigging as the voting papers have unique and special serials that distinguish them from other external papers.
The IEBC chairman also said that there is tight security at the tallying centre and there is no way the end-results will be tampered with. His words were also confirmed by TV 47 Kenya News through their official Facebook page.
His remarks came at a time when UDA party members are in celebration mood with their candidate leading. Some of the politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto have also alleged that the government is trying to manipulate the election results in favour of their Jubilee candidate. Others have reportedly advised the government to concede defeat.
