Hon.James Gakuya Member of Parliament of Embakasi South has urged the Mount Kenya region to payback Deputy President William Ruto his debt.
Hon. Gakuya was referring to the promise president Uhuru made to his deputy when they ran on a joint Jubilee ticket. It has always been said that the duo agreed to work 10yrs each, Uhuru was to serve for 10years from 2013-2022 then back up his deputy.
However, with the latest president's remarks, deputy president William Ruto might not be his preferred candidate for 2022 presidential elections, Uhuru at a point said that he owes non a political debt.
Gakuya an ardent supporter of Wiliam Ruto was speaking to congregation in Gatanga where they accompanied Ruto in a series of events including fundraiser for Boda Boda operators. Gakuyo urged the mount Kenya Region residents to ensure that other people do not see them as untrustworthy individuals, he said that every community is looking at them and will be judging them after 2022.
He added that even if leaders change and abandon Ruto, residents should stand firm and payback Ruto.
