Abogeta Member of County Assembly Dennis Kiogora, who was the sponsor against the failed impeachment motion on Meru Governor Honourable Kawira Mwangaza, has now spoken on an attempt to launch another impeachment bid.
In a statement, Kiogora said that while the Assembly has the power to craft another impeachment motion to oust Mwangaza, he hoped that she will follow the advise from senators to consult widely and seek consensus on important decisions.
He said that though they did not have the power to challenge the Senate's decision, they were at liberty to declare another motion though he did not expressly said they will take that route.
"That decision can only be challenged with a fresh impeachment motion. We don’t agree with the Senate’s decision. I hope the governor will heed the advice given to her by the senators," he said.

Yesterday, the Senate Special Committee led by Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, said that none of the allegations raised by Meru MCAs could be substantiated or proved hence saving Mwangaza from being ousted.
