Governour Kawira Says Sorry 70 Times After Court Stops Her Impeachment

Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza made her apology hours after Justice Wamae Cherere ruled against her impeachment motion.

The county chief said 'Sorry' 70 times to represent all the 69 MCAs and the County Assembly Speaker.

Mwangaza had earlier promised not to set foot in the county assembly for her impeachment motion, arguing that the MCAs lacked evidence.

In a video obtained, the governor, who was facing impeachment only three months after her election, can be seen issuing an apology alongside a smattering of locals.

The governor, who had earlier stated that she would be having public engagements on the controversial ward fund, was at Maua when she stopped all her activities for a prayer. The bishop asked the pastor present to assist her in apologizing 70 times to everybody involved in her impeachment motion.

On social media, there have been many reactions by Kenyans following governor Kawira saying sorry seventy times some saying it's high time now for her to start rebuilding Meru county.
