Governor Nanok Clears the Air of Talks Between Oparanya and Ruto, Cites it Began a Year Ago

Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok has cleared the air on the meeting Governor Wycliffe Oparanya had with Deputy President William Ruto in Mahali Mzuri camp, Masai Mara National Reserve.

Speaking to Nation on Tuesday, Nanok claimed that the talks between Oparanya and Ruto was only ending as the two had been in talking for almost one year. The meeting they had recently caused a stir as people second guessed that there would be a possible partnership between Raila and Ruto.

Governor Nanok continued to say that political interest will continue to change as we near the election and Oparanya and other politicians is no different since it's all about interests. "It is a period of transfers," he uttered.

Allies of Ruto from the Mt Kenya side have refuted the claims of a possible alignment with Raila's camp arguing that the two have different ideologies when it comes to leadership.

Reports from DP Ruto's office have said they have not sent any emissaries to negotiate any political deals with Raila nor have the received anyone from Raila's camp.

It is however not clear what intension Ruto has with the Deputy party leader of ODM and the meetings they have had still raises questions.
