Every day, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, led by Deputy President William Samoei Ruto, campaigns on President Uhuru Kenyatta's neck. The desire for the deputy president is to succeed Uhuru as the fifth president of Kenya and beat his opponents by a larger percentage.
They have pressed President Uhuru Kenyatta to commit to give up power to whoever wins a resounding victory in the presidential election in August.
Deputy Chairman David Murathe of Jubilee has now delivered the good news to Deputy President William Ruto and his followers concerning to the August Polls.
That is what the law says. If Kenya Kwanza wins the presidential election in August, President Kenyatta will hand over power to Deputy President William Ruto, according to Murathe.
Murathe's remarks also sparked a debate that has been fueled by DP Ruto's supporters, that no cabinet secretary would consider handing over power to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
