DP Ruto was today booed and heckled by pro-BBI supporters in his rally in Isiolo. The youth were carrying plascards and twigs demanding BBI and not wheelbarrows and carts.

On the other hand powerful leaders from the Western Kenya like Oparanya, Wetangula and Mudavadi had convened a special meeting with more than 200 MCA's to popularize BBI to them and urge them to support the document by passing it.Oparanya told them that it will benefit more constituencies and so they should support it.

Ruto's ally, Aaron Cheruiyot has reacted to the meeting of the Western Kenya leaders. He said that the MCA's from this region must be very intelligent. Since BBI is about the big boys pursuing their selfish agenda they have decided to support it he added. This is because they too want to get car grants and do away with the law on degrees that many MCA's may not have. The the leaders also wish to support the document because they want to get cash and all the lap dogs paid for them.

Does it mean that many leaders are supporting the BBI for their own personal gain or because it has something good for the common citizen?
