"You Will Cry One Day, Power Isn't Permanent" Ledama Warns Ruto Over His Mistreatment Of 4 IEBC

Senator Olekina Ledama of Narok has urged leaders to remember that power is not permanent and that they should treat those beneath them better.

The Senator was speaking about the recent petition to remove four IEBC commissioners.

"Leaders must learn from history that power is ephemeral and fleeting. So, today, punish the IEBC official as much as you can or desire, celebrate, even toast to your success, but tomorrow will bring tears to your eyes. The glands above your eyes will be active "He tweeted about it.

Juliana Cherera, vice-chairperson of the IEBC, and commissioner Justus Nyang'aya have already resigned and will not face the tribunal.

Francis Wanderi and Irene Masit have yet to resign, despite reports that they may do so in the coming hours to avoid a tribunal trial.

On November 24, Ledama chastised President William Ruto for removing the four dissenting IEBC commissioners.

In a statement, he said the process to remove the commissioners was unnecessary because Ruto is now President.

"Isn't it ironic that you now want to punish IEBC commissioners despite winning? Stop these pointless fights. It's not worth it "He stated.

Four petitions were filed to have Cherera and commissioners Masit, Wanderi, and Nyang'aya removed.

During the August presidential elections, the four clashed with IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, exposing a schism within the electoral body.

The commissioners slammed the results, which gave Ruto the victory over Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga.
