The race for the Statehouse keeps intensifying as the general elections in August grow closer. Everyone vying for the position wants Nairobi to be his stronghold. This is as a result of it having the most voters. A new poll has revealed who is currently the most well-liked presidential candidate in Nairobi.
In a recent poll conducted by infotrack research group, Raila Amollo Odinga and his running mate Martha Wangari Karua received 49 percent of the vote, surpassing their competitors William Somoei Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua, who are currently at 30 percent. This is a huge win for Raila. He is the mayor of the city.
With a percentage of 5%, George Wajackoyah and Justina Wangui Wamae are third in the standings. There has been an increase since the last survey. With only 0.3 percent of the vote, David Waihiga Mwaure and Ruth Mutua are last in the poll. Another 15% are still unsure.
