Today, deputy president William Ruto will meet with his supporters from Mount Kenya. The meeting will be held at Maasai Mara in Kajiado county. The leaders have been meeting to discuss issues that they will table before the deputy president regarding how to improve the economy in the Mount Kenya region and the issues affecting the country at large. The meeting includes a section of MPs of Mount Kenya l who support him who openly declared their support for Ruto.

This comes after the deputy president formed a committee of economic experts. They include the former governor of the central bank of Kenya, professor Njuguna Ndung'u and economist David Ndii. They will give the deputy president recommendations on how to improve the economy in the country.
The meeting comes a day after, Raila Odinga met with the Kikuyu community leader at his home in Karen. The leader was headed by Wachira Kiago.
