Mwangaza Makes a Plea To Political Leaders In Meru County During Her Engagement Meeting In Karama

Meru Governor Hon.Kawira Mwangaza has this morning chaired a public participation engagement with the residents of Karama ward. Together, they set a framework to guide effective appropriation of the equalizing Sh10 million ward based community project funds.

Further, Governor Kawira has directed the community to select 100 unemployed youth who will receive a daily Sh500 stipend to plant trees in the ongoing county wide exercise.

During the public participation engagement with the residents of Karama ward Governor Kawira Mwangaza asked political leaders to shed their differences and focus on service delivery to the electorate.

"The door that the Lord has opened for me, no man can shut. This morning I have chaired a public participation engagement with the residents of Karama ward during which we set a framework for effective appropriation of the equalizing Sh10 million ward based community project funds.

No coin belonging to the people of Meru will be lost under my watch. By the grace of God we shall prevail over the ongoing tribulations. As a people, we have to shift our mindsets from traditional norms that have not been beneficial to us and embrace new, ultra effective ways of doing things in order to achieve a radical transformation of our community.

The oath I took did not require me to unite with a few elites while leaving 1.5 million people languishing in poverty and suffering.

100 unemployed youth from Karama will be selected to take part in the ongoing mass tree planting exercise. This endeavour will provide employment and foster environmental conservation.

Every resident of Meru whether they voted for me or not, has a right to sustainable development. That is why I am advocating for transparency and accountability.

How I wish that Meru leaders would shed their differences and focus on service delivery to the electorate". Governor Kawira Mwangaza said.
