Taking to Twitter on Saturday evening, April 10, the SG dismissed the claims saying some people had developed a habit of spreading fake news about him.
“This exact time last year, it was said I was in quarantine with Corona…Today, you guys have fired me, then what will you do next year, kill me? Wrote Sifuna
“This is fake news. Edwin Sifuna is in the ODM party to stay but we appreciate your continued publicity to the party,” Amisi said.
Reports had earlier indicated that Sifuna had been fired by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
However, we understand that Sifuna can only be fired by the National Executive Committee.
In a separate story, Sifuna got himself on the receiving end over insensitive rape remarks.
It all started when Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa accused some members of threatening to kidnap and do the unmentionable acts to her.
According her although, she stated that she was not afraid of rape terming it as something normal.
In response to Jumwa’s remarks, Sifuna bashed her by claiming that she was too ugly for someone to rape her.
Sifuna made his unkind response while campaigning for their ODM candidate Omar Idd Boga for Msambweni.
