IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati stated that the suspension of the polls Kakamega and Mombasa had been postponed for a later date due to mistakes by the printer on the appropriate ballot papers.
Chebukati clearly mentioned that most of the staff are now fearful to work for the other polls, since he claimed the attack and tampering of the chairs at the Bomas of Kenya as it was done by the political leaders before the announcement of the presidential results.
In view of the prevailing circumstances, the IEBC commission has postponed the by-elections slated for 23rd August 2022, to a date to be announced through a gazette notice again.
However, the anxious voters of Kakamega and Mombasa counties are now in suspense on how IEBC denied them a chance to participate in that polls.
